## Find Your Daily Work

**Home**, **Notifications**, **Reminders**, and **What's new** give you direct access to daily work and updates. Home reflects your access: account admins can see account-wide work, while members see work relevant to them. Finance members have a finance workspace. People invited to specific jobs see those jobs.

The sidebar groups settings by task. Expand a group to see its pages; the group containing your current page opens automatically. On desktop, the sidebar can collapse to a narrow rail and expand again when you need it.

| Group | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Profile & preferences | Your profile, language, time zone, appearance, navigation, and page guides |
| Sign-in & connections | Password, passkeys, sign-in activity, and connected accounts, AI clients, and API tokens |
| Notification settings | Email preferences, notification schedule, personal Slack notifications |
| Scheduling | Availability, booking links, and holiday mode |
| Team | Members, invitations, product access, and access requests |
| Workspace | General settings, branding, billing, domains, security, exports, and storage |
| Tools | PDF sanitizer, IP investigation, and email checker |

Only the links available to your role and account appear. Personal settings affect you; team and workspace controls may require an admin or a specific permission. Product configuration, such as Hiring settings, stays in that product's navigation.

## Choose Your Start Page and Tabs

Open [Customize navigation](/user/navigation/edit) from the sidebar, the **Other** menu, or search.

1. Choose your start page for entering this account.
2. Move products up or down to set their order.
3. Choose which products stay in the main navigation. The others remain in **Other**.
4. Save, or reset to restore the defaults.

These preferences belong to your membership in this account. You can use a different arrangement in another account. Moving a product into Other does not remove your access. If your access changes, unavailable products disappear from your choices.

## Find a Page or Record Quickly

Open Omnisearch with **Cmd+K** on macOS or **Ctrl+K** on Windows and Linux. Search for a page name, a person, or a record. Record searches need at least two characters.

| Prefix | Searches |
|---|---|
| `>` | Pages and commands |
| `@` | People you can access |
| `#` | Security reports you can access |

Use **↑** and **↓** to select a result, **Enter** to open it, and **Esc** to close search. Where a record offers actions, **→** opens them. You can also paste a supported record ID or its Kit URL. Search and record actions respect your current permissions.

For example, search for **Customize navigation**, **Email Preferences**, or **Mobile number for notifications**. The mobile-number result opens that section of your profile. Saving a number does not enable every kind of SMS: see [Email & Notification Preferences](/docs/email-preferences) for supported messages.

## When Something Is Missing

Check **Other** first. If a product or setting is still absent, ask an account admin to check your role, module access, and the account's enabled products. Personal navigation preferences cannot grant access. See [Team Roles](/docs/team-roles) for the permission model.
