## Keep Interview Evidence With the Candidate

The Krisp Meeting Assistant integration lets you copy selected meeting notes or a full transcript into a candidate application's **Notes** section. You decide which meeting, which note sections, whether to include the transcript, and who can read the result in Kit.

This is a manual snapshot, not a sync. Kit does not automatically attach meetings, keep copied content updated, import recordings, or make hiring recommendations from Krisp content.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> **Record and share lawfully.** Before using meeting notes or transcripts in hiring, make sure your organization has given any required notice, collected any required consent, and set an appropriate retention policy. See [Candidate Privacy and Consent](/docs/candidate-privacy-and-consent).

## Before You Connect

You need:

- Access to Hiring in Kit
- A Krisp Core or Advanced plan with the meetings you need to review
- A personal Krisp API key with **Read** access

Create the key from [Krisp Integrations](https://app.krisp.ai/settings/integrations/api). Choose a 90-day expiry so the credential is rotated regularly. Kit verifies the key holder, encrypts the key, and never displays it again; Krisp controls the key's scope and expiry.

Each member connects their own Krisp identity. The key can browse only meetings that identity owns or that were shared directly with them, and one Krisp identity cannot be assigned to two members in the same Kit account.

## Connect Your Krisp Key

1. Open [Integrations](/integrations) and choose **Krisp Meeting Assistant**.
2. Click **Connect**.
3. Paste your personal Krisp API key.
4. Click **Connect Krisp**.

Kit verifies the replacement key holder before replacing an existing connection. If verification fails, the current working key stays in place.

## Choose a Meeting

Open the candidate's application, find **Notes**, and click **Attach from Krisp**. The picker lets you browse **My meetings**, **Shared with me**, or **All meetings**.

Search can match meeting titles, notes, and participants, but it does not search transcript text. A **Near this interview** badge helps identify meetings close to a scheduled interview; it is only a time-based hint and does not link the Krisp meeting to that interview.

Before continuing, check the candidate, meeting title, date, and participants. The same Krisp meeting can be attached to different candidate applications.

## Choose What Kit Copies

After selecting a meeting:

1. Review the available note sections. They start selected; uncheck anything that should not become part of the hiring record.
2. Select **Include the full transcript** only when the full conversation is needed. It is off by default.
3. Choose one of the two visibility options: **Hiring and account admins, hiring managers, and me** (restricted) or **Everyone with access to this candidate**.
4. Click **Attach selected content**.

At least one note section or the transcript must be selected. Kit fetches the transcript only when you explicitly include it. Audio and recordings are never copied.

Kit does not preview the full transcript in the picker. Review it in Krisp before selecting **Include the full transcript**.

If the notes change in Krisp while the picker is open, Kit stops the attachment and asks you to review the current version. Once attached, Kit keeps one encrypted, immutable snapshot of that Krisp meeting per candidate application. To change the selection, remove the snapshot and attach the meeting again.

## Choose Who Can Read It

| Visibility | Who can read the snapshot in Kit |
|---|---|
| **Restricted** (default) | You, account and Hiring admins, and hiring managers for the job posting |
| **Everyone with access to this candidate** | Everyone who currently has access to the candidate application |

This choice controls Kit access only. It does not change the meeting's sharing settings in Krisp. If a person's Kit access changes, Kit applies their current candidate and role permissions when they open the snapshot.

## Review or Remove a Snapshot

Attached Krisp snapshots appear above regular notes. Open one to read the selected note sections and, when included, search the transcript. The detail view also shows who attached it, when it was attached, and whether it is restricted.

The person who attached the snapshot, an account or Hiring admin, or a hiring manager for the posting can choose **Remove from Kit**. Removing the Kit copy does not edit or delete the original meeting in Krisp.

## Disconnecting and Data Retention

Disconnecting Krisp removes the saved key from Kit and stops new browsing. It does not revoke the key in Krisp, so delete or revoke it there as well. Snapshots already attached to candidates stay in Kit until an authorized person removes them or the candidate is anonymized. Removing a member's Hiring access or offboarding that member also removes their personal connection without deleting existing snapshots.

The API key, stored identity name and email, snapshot title, selected notes, and transcript are encrypted in Kit. The picker can show participant names, and an included transcript can store speaker names; participant email addresses and photos are discarded, and recordings are not copied. Account exports include snapshot and connection metadata, but redact the selected notes and transcript bodies and never include the API key. See [Account Data Export](/docs/data-export) for the exact export boundary.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The key is invalid or no longer authorized | Create a new read-only key and choose **Replace API key** in the Krisp connection |
| A meeting is still processing | Wait for Krisp to finish, then try again |
| No meeting appears | Clear the search, check **My meetings** and **Shared with me**, and confirm your Krisp identity can access the meeting |
| Krisp is unavailable or rate-limited | Wait a moment and retry; nothing is saved on a failed attachment |
| The notes changed during review | Review the refreshed note sections, then attach again |
| The meeting is already attached | Open the existing snapshot, or remove it before choosing different content |
| The existing snapshot is hidden from you | Ask a hiring manager or Hiring admin for help |
| The candidate was anonymized | New Krisp content can no longer be attached to that application |
