Seen By on Reports
See which teammates have viewed a report — a live avatar row on every report, with an account-wide toggle in program settings.
Why It Matters
During triage you often wonder whether anyone else has looked at a report yet — has the on-call responder seen it, or is it sitting unread? Seen-by tracking answers that at a glance: every report shows a small row of avatars of the teammates who have opened it, so you can coordinate without asking around.
The Seen By Card
Open any report and look at the Seen by card in the right sidebar. It shows an overlapping stack of avatars — one per teammate who has viewed the report — with a +N overflow badge beyond five. Hover an avatar to see the person’s name and when they last viewed it (“Name · 2 hours ago”).
The card updates live: when a colleague opens the report while you have it on screen, their avatar appears without a refresh.
Each viewer is recorded once with their last-viewed time. Repeat opens within a 30-minute window don’t create new entries — the card reflects who has seen the report, not how often.
Turning It Off
Seen-by tracking is on by default for the whole account. An admin can change this in VDP > Program Settings with the Seen-by tracking toggle. When off, no views are recorded and the avatar card is hidden on every report.
Note
Only teammates with access to a report are recorded. Views are visible to your team only — nothing is ever exposed to researchers or anyone outside your account.
