Billing & Add-ons
What the Kit plan includes, how add-ons are billed, and what happens when you remove one.
Why It Matters
Kit has one per-seat plan for your team. It includes Hiring, Training, Performance Reviews, the full Security workflow, and Compensation Research (Beta). Outreach is the only per-account add-on.
Candidates, researchers, referees, and training participants who use public portals do not become paid team members. Billing follows active team seats and whether you activate Outreach.
Managing Your Subscription
Navigate to Account Settings > Billing to view your current plan, payment method, and Outreach status. Managing billing requires the manage billing capability, which both Admins and the dedicated Billing Admin role hold.
From the billing page you can:
- Review your plan — Kit is a single plan at $8/seat/mo. New accounts start with a 30-day free trial: a card is collected at signup, nothing is charged during the trial, and the subscription starts automatically on day 30 unless you cancel before then
- Update payment method — Add or replace your credit card via Stripe
- View invoices — Download past receipts and invoices
- Manage Outreach — Add or remove the Outreach add-on
Available Add-ons
Outreach appears as a separate line item on your existing subscription. Its price is per account, not per team member.

Outreach
The Outreach module automates cold email prospecting. Kit’s AI agent researches each prospect individually and drafts personalized emails for your approval. A free 30-day trial is available. See the Outreach Overview for the full feature set.
Adding an Add-on
- Go to Account Settings > Billing
- Scroll to the Add-ons section
- Click Add to subscription next to the add-on you want
- Confirm the monthly charge in the dialog
- The add-on activates immediately and appears on your next invoice
The charge is prorated for the current billing cycle.
Removing an Add-on
- Go to Account Settings > Billing
- Find the active add-on in the Add-ons section
- Click Remove
- Confirm removal
Removal takes effect immediately: access to the add-on’s features is revoked as soon as you confirm, not at the end of the billing period. Kit deletes the add-on’s line item from your Stripe subscription right away and issues a prorated credit for the unused portion of the current cycle. That credit is applied to your Stripe account balance and offsets your next invoice — it is not refunded to your card. Your data is preserved — if you re-subscribe later, everything is still there.
