Candidate Calls on iPhone

Kit can add current candidates to your iPhone Contacts. When a saved number calls, iPhone may show the candidate’s name. Open the contact to see the role they applied for in the note. Set it up from Integrations → iPhone contacts.

Set up

1. Open Integrations → iPhone contacts in Kit and select Create private address book.
2. On your iPhone, open Settings → Apps → Contacts → Contacts Accounts → Add Account → Add Other Account → Add CardDAV Account.
3. Enter the server, username, and password shown in Kit. Leave SSL on and tap Next.
4. Open Contacts and select the Kit candidates list to check that contacts arrived. iPhone decides when to refresh and what appears on the call screen.

Kit shows the password once. If you lose it, disconnect the address book on Integrations → iPhone contacts and create a new one.

Which candidates appear

The list includes candidates with a phone number and a submitted, active application on an open or paused job you can access. It excludes withdrawn, rejected, anonymized, opted-out, and ambiguous shared-number contacts. If a candidate has more than one visible active application, the contact note lists the roles. Kit checks your current hiring access when iPhone syncs.

Disconnect

Select Disconnect iPhone contacts on Integrations → iPhone contacts to stop future syncs. Remove the CardDAV account in iPhone Settings to remove the list from your phone. Contacts already downloaded may remain there until iPhone refreshes or you remove the account.

If setup fails, check the server, username, password, and SSL setting. A changed Kit password does not change this device password; disconnect and create a new address book if you need new credentials.
